Kanekó:ta

A First Nation Status Card may be required to access this program.
An Inuit beneficiary card (N Number) may be required to access this program.
A Métis Citizenship Card may be required to access this program.
Kanekó:ta is an Adult Education Program created for urban Indigenous learners in Tio’tia:ke/Montreal.
Students can learn at their pace in a culturally safe setting and will be supported by a teacher at every step.
- Obtain a diploma of secondary studies
- Upgrade academic courses
- Qualify for semi-skilled trades
- Find employment opportunities
Participants may get financial support for registration and funding through the First Nations Human Resources Development Commission of Quebec (FNHRDCQ)
Note that to register, you will need your long form birth certificate.
