Urgent Clinic Care

Indigenous program

The Urgent Care Clinic accepts walk-ins and appointments every Wednesday from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm, and Thursdays from 10 am to 4pm. A nurse and doctor are available. Please note that the nurse is only present on Wednesdays. 

Every Thursday, frontline workers from Qavvivik are also present on site from 10 am to 4 pm to offer additional support to Inuit. 

Traditional languages will be honoured as much as possible if there is a staff member available to provide interpretation. Note that Inuktituk interpretation is available on Thursdays.

  • Elder’s support
  • Listening and referrals
  • Food distribution, and on occasions, traditional food
  • Harm reduction items and naloxone
  • Hygiene items
  • Help with identification cards and Indigenous identification documents
  • Support with transportation
