Roundhouse Program

Indigenous-serving program

Non-Indigenous organization

About the program:

The Roundhouse Program offers paid shifts. Participants also receive support for in terms of education or employment, upon request, as well as a free meal and beverages during their shifts.

About the Café:

The Roundhouse Café’s mission is to promote social diversity and Indigenous empowerment. Located in Cabot Square, it is the only Indigenous café in Montreal. The program is aligned with the mission and values of the Groupe communautaire L’Itinéraire which, through its vision of a humane, long-term support approach, helps vulnerable Indigenous individuals heal and build their “good life,” an Indigenous concept referring to a balanced and harmonious life with oneself and others.

People who come to The Roundhouse Café, even if they don’t work there, can access free food (meal cards and food distribution), harm reduction items, clothing, cultural activities, and more. It should also be noted that several workers from other organizations are regularly on site and that this is a place where people can find support in general and connect with the Indigenous community (meeting people, bulletin boards, etc.).
