MISSION
Offering a continuum of living environments and resources to First Nations, Inuit and Métis persons in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal who are homeless or at risk of homelessness by adopting approaches rooted in Indigenous values and traditions and promoting a culturally safe environment.

SPECIFIC VISION
PAQ helps every First Nations, Inuit and Métis person who is homeless or at risk of homelessness find their path toward healing, promote empowerment and improve their living conditions in an urban setting, each at their own pace.

SYSTEMIC VISION
First Nations, Inuit and Métis persons in an urban setting have access to culturally safe living environments adapted to their reality, where they can start a process of healing, regain their dignity, and reconnect with their culture and identity.

Indigenous-serving programs
Accompanying Indigenous peoples to access physical and mental health services.
A shuttle bus that offers transportation on the island of Montreal for First Nations, Métis and Inuit community members experiencing homelessness.
Designed as a culturally adapted residence, the Akhwà:tsire House offers 22 permanent housing units,
14 closed rooms and aims to support people who are actively working on their alcohol addiction.
A life skill and self-confidence development program.
The high-barrier shelter provides a safe and stable environment and a caseworker helping community members navigate pathways to stability and independence.
Residency program with the opportunity to participate in an alcohol management program.
A low-barrier emergency shelter offering 50 private rooms and a safe space for the consumption of cannabis and alcohol.
A reference point for Indigenous individuals who have recently arrived in Montreal.
Transition apartments for Indigenous community members with access to a full-time psychosocial worker.
