The Open Door Montréal
Non-Indigenous organization
Mission
The mission of The Open Door Montréal is to welcome people experiencing homelessness or vulnerability, and to accompany them on their journey towards emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. The organization was formed to alleviate poverty and promote the well-being of people experiencing homelessness, marginality and vulnerability, by offering support services aimed at social reintegration, including housing entry and maintenance.
Vision
That all people have access to their own housing and to the services they need, giving them the opportunity to flourish.
Values
To promote a safe, inclusive environment where dignity, respect and compassion are at the heart of relationships.
The INDex was created to support First Nations, Inuit and Métis in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal in finding relevant and up-to-date information on services that were created specifically for them. Our goal is to promote cultural safety and community connectedness.
If you are an Indigenous person living, moving to or visiting Tiohtià:ke, the INDex can support you in your steps!
