A proof of status, a beneficiary number or of Métis Citizenship is necessary to access this programs.
The Kaié:ri Nikawerà:ke Indigenous Bridging Program provides a pathway for eligible First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples to attain a university degree without meeting Concordia’s traditional admission requirements.
As a student, you’ll receive academic and social support as you transition to university life in Montreal. Tailored classes in writing, study skills and time management will guide you through prerequisites and set you up for success in your degree. Plus, you’ll:
- Build community in an all-ages cohort
- Attend weekly seminars for personal growth
- Have access to several sources of funding
Admission to the Kaié:ri Nikawerà:ke Indigenous Bridging Program is available for the Fall Terms only. To see current bridging programs that are available, click here.
Note that Indigenous peoples from nations and communities in Quebec may be eligible for the Tuition waiver for First Nations and Inuit students. To verify your eligibility, follow this link

- The Office of Community Engagement, including Indigenous Community Engagement

- Tutoring and English Classes
- Opportunities for social involvement
- Listening and referrals
