Kaie:ri:nikawera:ke Day Centre
Indigenous program
The Kaie:ri:nikawera:ke Day Centre (KDC) provides central, accessible, and appropriate facilities to Indigenous people that are street involved, unhoused, or otherwise precariously housed in order to stabilize their living conditions and overall quality of life.
Our services include access to basic amenities such as food, bus tickets, clothing, laundry, showers, toiletries and hygiene products. Further services include referral resources, emotional and spiritual support, cultural activities, access to medical and legal aid and more. We serve breakfast and hot lunch services. The facility has access to Wi-Fi, computers, printing, and photocopying
We can also help with accessing financial help (welfare, employment security, tax clinics) and with filling out governmental and band related documents.
