1. Main Shelter
Indigenous program
PAQ’s Main Shelter is a safe place for Indigenous women and men from First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities. It’s a place of respite where they have access to services to meet their basic needs. We offer them a bed for the night, some clothing, active listening and the chance to work on building their capacities.
We have 12 beds for women and 36 beds for men. We are open 24 hours a day, every day. Members are encouraged to get involved in PAQ’s community life in a variety of ways. We encourage small, everyday gestures or the organization of activities where they can express their skills and share their interests and passions.
Caseworkers are available on site, including dedicated caseworkers for youth aged 18 and over.
The program includes a community room and serves 3 meals a day.
