Main Shelter (PAQ 1)
Indigenous program
The high-barrier shelter provides a safe and stable environment with 54 beds—19 for women and 35 for men—in a dormitory setting. Community members have access to three home-cooked meals daily, hot showers, laundry facilities, and a communal area equipped with a television and internet-connected computers, fostering a sense of comfort and connection.
A caseworker is available Monday to Friday for 35 hours per week, offering personalized support with identification, housing applications, and referrals to partner services, helping community members navigate pathways to stability and independence.
People using the main shelter also have access to :

- Hygiene items, showers and laundry facilities
- Support with identity cards and Indigenous identification documents
- Clothing
- Postal box
- Harm reduction items and Naloxone
- Housing search and housing rights
- Access to the restorative justice program
- Three meals a day, and traditional food on occasions
- Listening, referrals and well-being follow-up
- Holistic and traditional care
- Medical care and first aid
- Elder’s support
- School guidance and job search
- Legal support and advocacy
- Taxes
- Computer, Wi-Fi and telephone
