Nunavik Trips
Indigenous-serving program
An Inuit beneficiary card (N Number) may be required to access this program.
It is essential for Indigenous children and teenagers growing up outside of their communities to understand where they come from. Since a disproportionate number of children in care are Inuit from Nunavik, Tasiutigiit has made it a priority to organize regular travel opportunities to Nunavik for families who may not otherwise have the opportunity to visit.
This program is available to children 5 years old and over and teenagers in foster care who are not already offered regular Nunavik trips via the DYP.
The INDex was created to support First Nations, Inuit and Métis in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal in finding relevant and up-to-date information on services that were created specifically for them. Our goal is to promote cultural safety and community connectedness.
If you are an Indigenous person living, moving to or visiting Tiohtià:ke, the INDex can support you in your steps!
