What we provide
- Initial health assessment and regular monitoring of child’s overall health
- Psychosocial & Educational support and follow-ups to ensure developmental milestones are met
- Legal support and advice to advocate for the child and family’s rights
- Coordination with the people and groups already involved in the child’s life (family, school, community organizations)
- Direct access and/or referrals to specialists like: speech pathologists, occupational therapists, art and music therapists, lawyers and mediators, and traditional and cultural healers
Who we work with
The CPSC Saralikitaaq involves a team of interdisciplinary professionals, including:
- Medical professionals
- Legal professionals
- Child and family specialists
- Educators
- Cultural workers
- Administrative supports
Together they will deliver tailored supports to each child and family.
Who is it for?
Indigenous children, aged 0-18 years, who are living in the Greater Montreal Area and who exhibit signs of toxic stress.
These services are intended for Indigenous peoples
The INDex was created to support First Nations, Inuit and Métis in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal in finding relevant and up-to-date information on services that were created specifically for them. Our goal is to promote cultural safety and community connectedness.
