We understand that the road to justice can seem long and complex. That’s why Support Services for Indigenous Victims program is dedicated to supporting you every step of the way.
By taking into account the cultural realities and specific needs of Indigenous victims, such as the language barrier, lack of information and interpretation of legal terms, etc., the service aims to ensure that women receive appropriate assistance, in their mother tongue if necessary, throughout the legal process.
Caseworkers are available to inform you of your rights, guide you through the legal process, and provide personalized advice so that you can make informed decisions.
They can also accompany you to hearings and appointments with various resources. They are available to help you with administrative matters (forms, initial contact, follow-up, etc.).
- Legal Help
- Support for victims
- Advocacy
Participants will also have access to :
- listening and referrals
- interpretation services
