The Roundhouse Café – Tier 2

Indigenous-serving program

Non-Indigenous organization

The mission of the Roundhouse Café is to promote social diversity and empowerment among Indigenous peoples. The program is in line with the mission and values of Groupe communautaire L’Itinéraire. With its vision of a human approach to long-term accompaniment, L’Itinéraire is helping vulnerable Indigenous people to heal and build a “good life”, an indigenous concept referring to a balanced and harmonious life with oneself and with others.

The Round House Program – Tier 2 is a 20-week work integration program. Participants learn the barista trade and can work up to 35 hours a week at minimum wage. We work together on skills acquisition and offer employability workshops (CV writing, interviewing, etc.). The program also includes psychosocial intervention and support in the process. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with the Indigenous community and take part in cultural workshops. A free meal and coffee is provided for each shift worked.
