THRIVE Youth Program

Indigenous-serving program

Non-Indigenous organization

This program is a monthly Indigenous youth drop-in that provides a safe welcoming space for Indigenous teens to hang out, engage in community, in an open, non-judgemental space. Indigenous animators provide active listening and being strong positive role models for youth in care 13-17 years old (with the exception of 18-year-olds who recently aged out). As a team, THRIVE Youth staff animate group games, outings, and accompaniment to Indigenous teens in care. This ensures that youth in care have access to role models, cultural and community connection. Drop-in are on Saturdays in the afternoon.

THRIVE Youth Programming and Tasiutigiit offer regular fun educational and cultural activities during the month. Reminders and announcements are posted on the Tasiutigiit website, through our mailing list. Registration may be required.
