Tuition waiver for First Nations and Inuit students

A proof of status, a beneficiary number or of Métis Citizenship is necessary to access this programs.
As part of its ongoing commitment to reconciliation, Concordia will waive tuition and mandatory fees for First Nations and Inuit students whose communities are located in Quebec. To know if you are eligible, click here.
This initiative stems from recommendations outlined in Concordia’s Indigenous Directions Action Plan, created – in part – to respond to the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
This initiative aligns with other recommendations in the plan, which include:
- Establishing partnerships and relationships with First Nations and Inuit communities
- Supporting First Nations and Inuit students’ educational choices
- Expanding funding opportunities and removing financial barriers to education
- Increasing the rate of recruitment, retention and graduation of First Nations and Inuit students
- 2spirits, trans and non-binary individuals
