Welcoming and integrating Indigenous students at the college

Indigenous-serving program

Non-Indigenous organization

Our mandate is to enhance the cultural safety of First Nations, Inuit and Métis students by welcoming them, listening to their needs, supporting their academic success and facilitating their access to all the resources available at the College.

The First Peoples Student Life Facilitator provides support by creating links with Indigenous community resources (e.g. friendship centers, other services for Indigenous students, notably through band councils) and by offering access to tutoring, academic success support and an Indigenous space.

Although the service is aimed at Collège Ahuntsic students, future students and Indigenous people interested in pursuing studies at Collège Ahuntsic can contact our service for information and support.
