Welcoming Fire Program

Indigenous program

Indigenous organization

We are supporting Indigenous women on their journey toward healing and stability.

Through the Welcoming Fire Program, our Outreach Worker assists past clients of the Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal, self-referred clients, and clients referred by other community resources.

Program Objectives

  • Provide follow-up services for Indigenous women who are at risk of becoming homeless

  • Provide bi-weekly workshops on various topics

  • Provide traditional First Nations healing

  • Offer culturally sensitive tools which the client can use in order to come to terms with the root of their problems and methods on how to provide healthy emotional stability in their lives and in their families
