
Indigenous Project Officer — McGill’s Office of Indigenous Initiatives
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Indigenous Initiatives (DII) and working closely with the Senior Advisor, Indigenous Curriculum and Pedagogy, the Indigenous Projects Officer will develop and manage projects aimed at enhancing Indigenous educational pathways and supporting increased opportunities for culturally informed learning at McGill. This role focuses on Indigenous student and community engagement, developing comprehensive models that reflect financial and non-financial resources to recruit, retain, and support Indigenous students through graduation. The Officer will also play a key role in developing and managing projects that foster stronger relationships with Indigenous communities to ensure that student engagement with Elders, cultural knowledge holders, community experts, etc. is based on mutual respect and relationality.
