CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE CREATION OF AN ARTWORK

The Université de Montréal invites Indigenous women artists from Québec to submit a proposal for a mural artwork to be permanently installed on campus. This project, supported by Femmes autochtones du Québec, aims to celebrate Indigenous cultures and provide a space for Indigenous UdeM students to express themselves.

The selected artist will need to incorporate ideas gathered from Indigenous students into their creation, respecting the mural dimensions of 3.25 m by 1.7 m. Applications must include a motivation letter or video, a portfolio, and a detailed artistic proposal.

Criteria:

• Be an Indigenous woman artist from Québec
• Have significant experience in public mural art
• Be open to collaborating with Indigenous students
