Naabidoo’igan (beading needle): daphne’s Indigenous Artist Market

08 November 2025
Events

In-person event

Naabidoo’igan is daphne’s annual two-part fundraiser, which includes an auction and an Indigenous market. All funds raised through the silent auction and the sale of our cocktails and mocktails go directly to daphne. These drinks will be served by our incredible volunteers during the market. The market supports local Indigenous artists and artisans, with 100% of the money raised from their sales going back to them. To summarize: the money raised from the auction and the sale of drinks goes to daphne, while the sale of items at the market supports the artists and artisans, not daphne.

Naabidoo’igan (beading needle) will be the third annual Indigenous artists’ market and the third silent auction organized by daphne. The money raised from the silent auction and cocktails and mocktails will go directly to us. This event is being held to raise funds to enable daphne to purchase a new laptop and monitor, as well as add bold new designs and signage to our windows and doors.

The Indigenous Artists Market will feature local Indigenous artists showcasing beadwork, carvings, clothing, personal care products, and much more! Each day will end with a happy hour accompanied by delicious drinks.
