The Health Navigator plays a key role in supporting members of urban Indigenous communities by ensuring culturally safe access to health and social services throughout their care journey. Integrated within Native Montreal’s Family Health Clinic and the broader health team, this position focuses on accompaniment, advocacy, and system navigation to reduce barriers and improve continuity of care.

Working closely with members, healthcare providers, and community partners, the Health Navigator coordinates appointments, supports administrative processes, accompanies members within the public health system when necessary, and advocates for culturally adapted and respectful care. The role also contributes to strengthening partnerships with healthcare institutions, promoting cultural safety, and participating in outreach and community health initiatives.

The ideal candidate has experience in health or system navigation, accompaniment, or advocacy within complex service systems; strong communication and relationship-building skills; and a commitment to culturally safe, trauma-informed, and strengths-based practices. Proficiency in both French and English is required. Indigenous identity and lived experience are considered a strong asset.

This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) with flexible scheduling, a competitive salary ($50,000–$76,081), comprehensive benefits, and a supportive, unionized, and culturally safe work environment. Native Montreal strongly encourages Indigenous candidates to apply.
