Indigenous Languages Program Coordinator
Montréal Autochtone is a multiservice Indigenous community organization dedicated to supporting the holistic health, cultural vitality, and well-being of Indigenous individuals and communities in the Greater Montreal area. Through its Indigenous Languages Program, the organization offers learning workshops in more than nine Indigenous languages to over 200 participants each year.
Under the supervision of the Director of Socio-Cultural Development, the Indigenous Languages Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, developing, and promoting initiatives related to the teaching and revitalization of Indigenous languages, including the organization of the annual Indigenous Languages Conference. The Coordinator oversees administrative activities, participant services, instructors, and partnerships, while ensuring service quality, sound budget management, and accountability.
The position requires relevant university-level education, experience in program or service management, a strong understanding of Indigenous contexts, and excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Proficiency in both French and English is required. Indigenous identity is considered a significant asset.
Conditions: Full-time position (35 hours per week); salary range of $50,000 to $75,000 depending on experience; comprehensive benefits; flexible, welcoming, and unionized work environment.
