Tossing seeds into the ground: How do Indigenous and Black communities mobilise towards a common goal?

Thursday March 12th 7pm to 9pm at Côte-des-Neiges Black Community Association (CDNBCA), Nelson Mandela Pavilion (4920 Vézina Avenue, Plamondon metro)

The University of the Streets Café organizes bilingual, public conversations in community spaces across Montreal to talk about Indigenous and Black activism.
It is a welcoming space for diverse groups of citizens to share their unique experiences and perspectives.

This month, we take inspiration and learn from the Indigenous-led Idle No More movement and Growing A.R.C, a non-profit dedicated to sustainable agriculture and its transformative potential, to explore what citizen mobilization looks like in practice.

Through our participatory format, we will explore the strategies, challenges, and successes behind building movements that create lasting changes.

Moderated by Alivia Lynch, this conversation features Widia Larivière and Nadia Bunyan. Open to everyone. No registration or experience required.

Come to share, learn and listen!
