Camp THRIVE (Summer 2026)
Position: Indigenous Youth Animator (20+)
Location: Montreal
Tasiutigiit is hiring animators to support Indigenous youth (ages 13–17) in a summer day camp setting. This role involves leading activities, mentoring youth, and contributing to a safe, culturally grounded environment.
Dates: June 22 – August 17, 2026
Schedule: 4 days/week, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Salary: $25/hour
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead activities and workshops
- Support youth participation and well-being
- Act as a mentor and positive role model
- Ensure safety and follow program guidelines
Requirements:
- 20 years of age or older
- Comfortable working outdoors
- Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills
- Experience with youth (asset)
- Experience with Indigenous communities or cultural programming (asset)
- Background in social/community work (asset)
- Experience with camping, canoeing, or land-based activities (strong asset)
This position supports programming for Indigenous youth. Applications from First Nations, Inuit, and Métis candidates are strongly encouraged, and priority may be given to these applicants.
