Rooted Resilience: Indigenous Climate Adaptation, Land Restoration, and Food Sovereignty
Join us on May 20, 2026, for a free online workshop with Rebecca Webster, enrolled citizen of the Oneida Nation in Wisconsin and Executive Director of grassroots nonprofit Ukwakhwa (Our Foods).
Rebecca will highlight how restoring land relationships and cultivating traditional foodways are acts of reclamation. She will share how hands-on practices engaging community members in planting, harvesting, seedkeeping, and traditional food preparation reflect Haudenosaunee knowledge systems and evolving strategies for climate adaptation.
Wednesday, May 20 | 12–1 PM EST | Zoom. All are welcome!
Event presented by Concordia University’s Office of Decolonizing and Indigenizing Curriculum and Pedagogy as part of the Mitigating the Impacts of Climate Change series.
