Organization Overview

PAQ is an Indigenous organization that supports First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples facing housing insecurity in Tio’tià:ke / Montreal. Through a culturally appropriate approach rooted in empowerment and harm reduction, we provide shelter, housing options, and services that promote well-being, healing, and community building. We work in partnership to advocate for the health and housing rights of Indigenous peoples in urban settings.

By joining the PAQ team, you’ll become part of a group of individuals committed to transforming the lives of Indigenous women and men in Montreal.

What You’ll Do

You will plan and provide light breakfasts, lunches, and hot dinners seven days a week, ensuring that certain weekend meals are prepared in advance. You will develop menus within a set budget and order the necessary ingredients, while maintaining an accurate inventory of all food and supplies. You will also ensure compliance with strict food hygiene and safety standards, keeping the kitchen clean and organized at all times.

In addition, you will help prepare special Indigenous meals for events with up to 100 people or more, and ensure that food donations are used creatively and effectively. In all of these tasks, you will work closely with the team to foster a positive and supportive environment that reflects PAQ’s mission of empowerment and community well-being.
