Employee Working Location: Partially Virtual / Hybrid (Montreal, QC – with regular travel to Nunavik communities)

Employment Status: Temporary Full-time (12 months, renewable)

Guided by our Fundamental Principles, we work collaboratively with Indigenous communities, leadership, and organizations to strengthen resilience, promote health, and respond to emergencies.

As part of a joint project with the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services and regional health centres (UTHC and IHC), the Strategic Advisor, Communications and Community Engagement, will help the Canadian Red Cross, Quebec Division, strengthen tuberculosis prevention and response efforts in Nunavik.

The role integrates Communications with Community Engagement and Accountability (CEA) functions. The successful candidate will report to the Quebec Community Relations team, while maintaining a close working relationship with the Quebec and Francophonie Communications team. They will work closely with the response to tuberculosis in Nunavik project team, and within the operational framework set out by the Emergency Health Department. They will also collaborate with local stakeholders, including community members, health personnel, and others, to support the development of clear and culturally appropriate communication and engagement approaches aligned with local realities.
