Position Status: Full-time temporary – 6-month contract with the possibility of extension

Job Objective

The primary objective of this position is to ensure the accurate, timely, and confidential processing of payroll. The accounting technician will also provide support for day-to-day financial operations, including vendor payments, recording bank deposits, bank reconciliations, account analysis, report generation, and administrative support for the finance team. This role will help ensure the reliability of financial information, compliance with internal controls, and prompt support for employees and internal stakeholders.

*At PAQ, although French is the primary working language, many of the Indigenous clients we serve speak their native language first and English as a second language, with French rarely being used. To provide effective support, proficiency in English is required for this position. This requirement is based solely on the nature of the duties and the need to communicate effectively with our clients, in accordance with Quebec’s language laws.
