DESCRIPTION

The booking and production agent contributes in many ways to the promotion of Musique Nomade (MN) artists and projects. Not only does he/she book projects, he/she also oversees the management and success of MN productions. Main duties include :

 

Booking

– Actively participate in tour strategy and planning;

– Submit and book MN’s show offerings at various showcases, competitions and national and international conventions, according to the objectives established in collaboration with general management;

– Represent and negotiate MN’s show projects with presenters and various audiences;

– Promote MN’s show offerings to various presenter network

– Represent MN and its artists at events;

– Develop a distribution network to promote MN and its artists;

– Maintain and administer the database and network of contacts;

– Write reference documents for project submissions;

– Work closely with the show logistics manager to ensure the smooth running of shows.

 

Production

– Participate in the development of promotional and production ideas;

– Analyze and make feasibility recommendations (artistic, production, budget, etc.) for various projects;

– Handle project-related contracts and invoicing;

– Develop and ensure compliance with production budgets and project deadlines;

– Manage projects by harmonizing production realities with artistic vision, technical requirements and operational prerequisites, from start-up to delivery;

– Ensure harmonious liaison within the team of musicians and collaborators;

– Implement efficient procedures and processes for the sound realization of projects;

– Prepare reports and reference documents as required.

 

Skills and aptitudes required

– 2 to 3 years’ experience in the entertainment industry;

– Bilingual, French and English (spoken and written), Spanish an asset;

– Excellent ability to negotiate and represent artists with various clienteles;

– Knowledge of the different distribution environments in Quebec and Canada;

– Good network of contacts in the music industry;

– Creativity and artistic vision;

– Excellent interpersonal skills;

– Autonomy and organizational skills;

– Ability to prioritize and combine tasks;

– Ability to handle administrative tasks;

– Current driver’s license and passport; 

– Strong interest in promoting Indigenous cultural diversity. 

 

Job conditions

– Schedule: 5 days / week

– Compensation: $50,000 to $55,000 

– Advantageous working conditions: vacation, group insurance and employer contributions to your RRSP

– Workplace: 1208 Beaubien Street East, Montreal, in hybrid mode

– Start date: As soon as possible
