CASTING CALL – INDIGENOUS ACTORS AND EXTRAS
Dramatic Series – Kadebwe
The production company Nish Média is seeking Indigenous actresses and actors to fill several roles (lead, supporting, and background) for the dramatic series Kadebwe, scheduled to be filmed in 2026.
Synopsis
Following the death of their father, Rachel, Mathieu, and Nibi must jointly decide the future of the family-owned outfitting lodge, Kadebwe. Nibi, who manages the operation, wants to preserve their ancestral heritage, while Rachel and Mathieu are drawn to offers from developers and the band council. Longstanding family tensions and rivalries resurface, further complicated by a secret passed down by their father. Each sibling is torn between family loyalty and personal ambition. Faced with mounting threats, the three come to realize that only solidarity can protect their heritage.
We are looking for:
- Lead and supporting roles
- Indigenous women and men of various ages. Acting experience is an asset, but not required for all roles. We are seeking performers capable of portraying complex characters grounded in strong human, family, and cultural issues.
- Extras
- Indigenous people of all ages. No experience required.
Filming locations: Maniwaki, Kitigan Zibi, and Gatineau
