The Community Health Navigator supports Indigenous individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness in navigating the healthcare system. This role bridges the gap between patients and healthcare services, while integrating Indigenous traditions, culture, and worldviews. Key responsibilities include emotional and cultural support, hospital accompaniment, and administrative tasks related to participant follow-up.

Location: 169 de la Gauchetière E, Montreal, with frequent travel to local hospitals
Schedule: Full-time (35 hrs/week), evening shifts (5 p.m. to midnight), until March 31, 2026
Salary: 28.98$/hour
Type: On-site, temporary contract

Who we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in intervention, social work, or related fields
  • Strong understanding of Indigenous realities and the healthcare system
  • English fluency required; bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
  • Knowledge of an Indigenous language is a significant asset
  • Committed to reconciliation and culturally safe approaches
