Upcoming Exhibition and Meditation: Resist with Love: The Xtopias of Solomon Enos
You are invited for a short in-person artist talk from Solomon Enos, on his upcoming exhibit Resist with Love: The Xtopias of Solomon Enos (June 21st, 2024 – August 17th, 2024). Enos is bringing Hawaiian Indigenous Futurism to Tiohtià:ke, and he is the first international artist exhibiting at daphne!
The artist talk will be followed by a guided meditation, led by Lauren Karonhiaronkwas McComber (Kanien’kehá:ka, Bear Clan). Lauren is the owner of Lotus + Sage Holistics, a holistic wellness business located in Kahnawake.
daphne breathes is designed to bring community together around art, and foster wellness through art and mindfulness. Participation is open to Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. Registration required, find the eventbrite link here:
The artist talk will last for 30-45 minutes, including a Q&A, and the mediation will be between 15-30 minutes. The artist talk will be filmed. Yoga mats and light refreshments will be available. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to connect with the artist and his work through mindfulness.
