[Free webinar] Unhoused and at Home on Unceded Land: Conversations about the Neighbourhood
Mikana invites you to a free public online conversation on Indigenous houselessness in Montreal (Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang) on May 12, 2026 @ 12-1 p.m. This discussion will explore the overrepresentation of Indigenous peoples among the unhoused and the systemic factors driving this reality.
Hosted by Catherine Desjardins (Mikana ambassador), the conversation will move beyond the issues to focus on responsibility, meaningful change, Indigenous leadership on the front lines, and community-based work that supports more reciprocal neighbourhoods.
With guests Na’kuset (Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal) and Jennifer Trentin (NNADAP worker in Kanehsata:ke & board member at Resilience Montreal).
In English, with French translation in the chat. Registration required!
