About:

PAQ is an indigenous organization that supports First Nations, Inuit and Métis people facing housing insecurity in Tio’tià: ke / Montreal. Using a culturally appropriate approach based on empowerment and harm reduction, we provide housing options, accommodation and services that promote wellness and healing, and strengthen community. We work in partnership with others to promote the health and housing rights of urban Indigenous peoples.

The Opportunity:

As a part of the PAQ team, you will be joining a group of individuals who are committed to helping change the lives of Indigenous men and women in Montreal. Working closely with community members to meet their long-term goals, you will have the opportunity to see the life changing benefits of your work on a daily basis. Working with dedication to PAQ’s mission, you will have access to the support of team members as well as training in the areas of intervention, suicide prevention, trauma informed approaches, First Aid and Indigenous cultural knowledge.

This person will work at PAQ’s Managed Alcohol Program. A house with supportive-housing for 8 people from the indigenous community that are experiencing severe alcohol dependencies in Montreal. This program serves to reduce the acute, chronic, and social harms associated with alcohol addiction.
