We would like to formally invite you to the world premiere of our show Jordan: A Hero’s Journey Home, running April 3-13, 2025 presented at Centaur Theatre. An inspiring and exciting story for the whole family!
Jordan is a play that depicts Jordan River Anderson as a superhero. Awakening in a hospital, Jordan discovers newfound abilities to speak and move, guided by his spirit bear companion, Maskwa. The story addresses the healthcare challenges faced by Indigenous children, highlighting the significance of Jordan’s Principle in ensuring equal healthcare for First Nations youth. Jordan represents hope and resilience, reflecting the broader struggle for justice within Indigenous communities.
The play was commissioned by Geordie and written by Indigenous playwright, Yvette Nolan. This production will be directed by Jimmy Blais, a member of the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation and features an all Indigenous cast, JORDAN is one of Quebec’s first ever English all-Indigenous led production.
