Position: Shuttle Driver (on-call)
Organization: PAQ (Indigenous organization in Montreal)
Salary: $28/hour
Schedule: Flexible (on-call, weekdays during the day and evening)
Start Date: Immediate

Organization’s Mission:

PAQ supports Indigenous people (First Nations, Inuit, Métis) in precarious situations in Montreal by providing culturally appropriate housing, accompaniment, and support services.

Primary Role:

The driver transports shelter residents to various locations on the Island of Montreal according to scheduled routes. They work in collaboration with a psychosocial worker and help connect users to available resources.

Responsibilities:

• Drive a shuttle (15 passengers) safely
• Plan and coordinate trips
• Adapt driving to conditions (e.g., weather)
• Collaborate with the team and partners
• Ensure the smooth operation of the transportation service

Requirements:

• Class 4B driver’s license (required)
• Experience driving a minibus
• Clean driving record (no recent suspensions)
• Knowledge of the Montreal road network
• English required (primarily English-speaking or Indigenous clientele)

• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Comfortable working with vulnerable individuals or those with disabilities
• Awareness to Indigenous realities and a commitment to reconciliation
• Basic computer skills
