Tiohtià:ke Welcomes the National Conference to End Homelessness – CAEH 2025

The Movement to End Homelessness in Montreal (MMFIM) will be the local host of the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness National Conference (CAEH 2025), taking place from October 28 to 30, 2025, at the Palais des congrès in Montréal.

This major gathering will bring together thousands of people from across the country who are committed to system transformation, knowledge sharing, housing rights advocacy, and improving the living conditions of people experiencing homelessness. Over the course of three days, the conference will feature workshops, practice-sharing sessions, opportunities for collective reflection, and a rich program focused on community-driven action.

Organized in collaboration with Indigenous partners, the conference will also highlight several community-led initiatives open to the public:

• Community meals for people experiencing homelessness, October 28 and 29 from noon to 5 p.m.
• A collaborative mural with MU, open to all participants, October 28 and 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• An Indigenous craft market showcasing the talents of urban Indigenous artists in Montréal
• Presence of local and national Indigenous Elders
• Art therapy workshops led by two Indigenous Elders
• Cultural performances, including the Indigenous jazz group Backwater Township and a street circus, during the October 28 evening social (5 à 7)
• Opening ceremony led by the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation on October 28
• A sacred fire maintained throughout the event

CAEH 2025 in Tiohtià:ke – Montréal promises to be a pivotal moment to bring together passionate voices from all walks of life and move forward with sustainable solutions to homelessness.
