Evaluation of housing needs

Indigenous peoples, particularly the Inuit, are over-represented among the homeless population in Montreal. In order to better understand the housing needs and preferences of these individuals, the NETWORK, in collaboration with the Movement to End Homelessness in Montreal, commissioned a survey for the users of eight community organizations that provide services to Indigenous peoples in the Montreal area. 

In order to better understand the housing needs and preferences of these individuals, the NETWORK, in collaboration with the Movement to End Homelessness in Montreal, commissioned a survey for eight community organizations that provide services to Indigenous people in the greater Montreal Area. 

The objective of this project was to answer the following question: “What are the housing needs and preferences of Indigenous peoples who use the following community organizations? Chez Doris, Face à Face, Ivirtivik, La Porte Ouverte, The Native Friendship Centre of Montreal, The Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal, Plein Milieu and Projets Autochtones du Québec?”
