2SLGBTQIA+ Resources
The Montreal Indigenous Community NETWORK advocates for an urban environment that promotes safety, well-being and belonging.
During our previous youth gatherings, Indigenous youth participated in discussions about their future in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal. They mentioned the necessity for more 2SLGBTQIA+ resources and safe spaces in the city, as well as a desire to know more about existing resources that would best answer their needs.
To fill this gap, the NETWORK team has put together a list of resources for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals. You will find here resources that are available in person in Tiohtià:ke, or that can be found on the web. We encourage Indigenous youth and community members to reach out and connect with these organizations.
In person resources:
Project 10 (P10)
Project 10 works to promote the personal, social, sexual and mental well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, two-spirit, intersex and questioning (2SLGBTQIA+) youth and adults 14-25. Services are free of charge, confidential and anonymous.
Head & Hands strives to promote the physical and mental well-being of youth. Their approach is preventative, inclusive, non-judgmental, and holistic, with a fundamental commitment to providing a supportive environment for youth experiencing marginalization(s). Head & Hands seeks to empower youth, and to facilitate social change based on the needs of youth within the community and society at large.
The Montreal Trans Patient Union is an advocacy and mutual aid collective by and for trans and nonbinary patients in Tiohtià:ke. They advocate for excellence in trans health care and create resources to help trans patients access care.
Pride Therapy Network of Montreal
The Pride Therapy Network of Montreal is a collective of independent mental health practitioners who have come together in order to offer culturally informed, accessible, and affirmative services to members of sexual and gender diverse communities. They are dedicated to providing financially accessible therapy, therefore all therapists in the network offer both a sliding scale and at least one reduced-fee spot.
Gender Creative Kids is a reference community organization that has supported trans, non-binary, and gender-fluid youth’s affirmation within their families, schools, and communities. They aim to support, defend and celebrate the affirmation of young gender diverse people in their communities within Quebec.
The Centre for Gender Advocacy is an independent, student-funded, Concordia University organization mandated to promote gender equality and empowerment, particularly as it relates to marginalized communities. This mandate is achieved through ongoing programming, campaigns, resources, services, advocacy, and a commitment to accessibility.
Juritrans is a trans-led legal clinic providing legal information, accompaniment, and support with name and gender marker changes.
Aide aux Trans du Québec (ATQ)
ATQ accompanies, supports, and equips transgender, non-binary, and questioning individuals on their journey, and works to promote gender diversity in Quebec. They offer a variety of psychosocial support services, such as weekly support groups and a hotline for trans, non-binary and questioning people, ensuring their well-being.
Action Santé Travesti(e)s & Transexuel(les) du Québec (ASTT(e)Q)
ASTT(e)Q is an organization by and for trans people offering different services to many segments of the Quebec trans community. In addition to being confidential, their services are free of charge whenever possible. Informed by a harm reduction and non-judgmental perspective, they strive to respect individual autonomy in lifestyle and bodily choices while ensuring that they provide the resources and support required to make informed choices.

Native Youth Sexual Health Network – You Are Made of Medicine
You Are Made of Medicine is a mental health peer support manual written by and for Indigiqueer, Two-Spirit, LGBTQ+, and gender non-conforming Indigenous youth. This manual includes tips, strategies and resources to manage mental health and wellness.
Interligne offers 24-hour help and information services for LGBTQ+ people and their loved ones, such as support lines via phone and text, newsgroups, programs for youth as well as seniors, legal advice, and more.
AlterHéros is a non-profit community organization and is staffed almost entirely by volunteers. Their mission is to foster the development of individuals in relation to their sexual orientation, gender identity, and sexuality. While their services are mainly tailored towards the needs of young people aged 14 to 35, their resources are available to any individual who may need information or support regardless of age. Their program Neuro/Diversities also provides individual personalized support as well as group meetings for youth aged 14 to 30 at the intersection of neurodiversity and sexual and gender diversity.
