The First Peoples Justice Center of Tiohtià:ke / Montreal (FPJCTM) is a young, specialized, and vibrant organization that works in partnership with the Indigenous community and the justice system in Tiohtià:ke / Montreal to support, inform, and empower Indigenous persons in addressing their justice issues. We are currently seeking a lawyer to play a central role in the development and implementation of a new legal service for Indigenous community members in Montreal. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new initiative that can involve different areas of law such as family, civil, carceral or housing. The role will include providing direct legal services while working closely with community organizations, judicial partners, and Indigenous support workers to improve access to justice for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.

Interested persons are invited to submit their resume and a letter outlining their motivation and qualifications for this position to: ellen.filippelli@justicemontreal.ca.
